Baltic Porters are dark beers originally brewed in countries bordering the Baltic Sea. They are inspired by the London Imperial Stouts but made using a lager yeast. For ours, we started with a classic dark malt bill before adding, during fermentation, candy sugar and local honey, from the award-winning Happybees Honey.

We waited patiently for three months of cold lagering, and the end result is a strong, warming beer with complex flavours of toasted bread, roasted malt and raisins, similar to a stout but with the clean, smooth and well-rounded mouthfeel of a good lager.
